WOO HOO!! Snow (and sleet) have fallen in Rocky Mount and Daniel is having a blast! His first snow was last January but at only 10 months old, the only contact he had with it was 5 minutes on the deck with Brian while I took a few pictures. Then…he cried. But not this year!! Brian has been pulling him around on his sled (purchased for $1 at a yard sale last summer- hooray for Mommy!) for quite some time now (they’re still out there) and Daniel is one happy camper! Now they’re walking over the Grandma’s house, which is less than 1/2 mile away. Here are a few pictures. Notice that they aren’t even breaking through the snow-that’s because of the sleet.
By the way, Daniel is wearing: thermal pajamas, a long sleeve t-shirt (with guitars on it), a sweater, a pair of sweatpants, a pair of windbreaker pants (for water resistance), two pair of socks, boots, a coat, a scarf, mittens, and a hat. I also had 4 pair of mittens on the back step so that Brian could switch them out when they got wet and cold. Maybe I am a little crazy but I don’t want my baby to get cold!
