Both boys had their well-check visits this morning, Daniel for his 2 year and Jack for his 4 month.  Here’s the run down for both boys, some good news and some not-so-good news.

DANIEL IS FINALLY ON THE WEIGHT SCALE!!  Thanks to God’s gracious provision of Pediasure, Daniel is in the 8th percentile for weight (up from below the 3rd percentile at its lowest)!

Everything else continues to look normal.  Height is around the 65th percentile (which just makes him look skinnier-haha!).

Therapy is going pretty good- we haven’t had PT in about a month because our therapist has been sick or had other obligations.

Jack is lingering around the 50th percentile for head circumference and height but…has dropped off the chart for weight!  OH NO!  SAY IT AIN’T SO!  Yes, it is so.  He’s been sick but still.  Dr. Brinn said that we are going to be aggressive with Jack’s weight since Daniel had so much trouble so here’s the plan.

Starting today, we’re giving Jack only bottles (with my milk) so that we can monitor exactly how much he is eating.  He is going to start a little oatmeal cereal, and go back to see Dr. Brinn in 2 weeks.  If we don’t see a serious improvement, then we’re going to start trying to assess my milk to see if we might need to supplement with formula.

On all other fronts, Jack is doing great!  He’s sleeping well (praise the Lord!)  and developing on schedule physically, socially, and cognitively.

We have SO MUCH for which to be thankful and pray that our boys will continue to grow in body and most importantly, that they would grow to love the Lord!
