Tonight, Daniel called me into his room because he’d lost his Buddy somewhere in the sheets {sigh}.  Once I’d recovered the lost treasure and re-tucked him into bed, I realized that his window was open about 2 inches.

“Daniel, you have to stop opening the window, baby.  It lets the hot air into the house and lets the air conditioning out.”

“But Mama, if I close the window, I cannot hear the beautiful rain outside.”

How could this beauty-loving mama argue with such sound reasoning.  I told him that he could keep it cracked and that his daddy would close it before we went to bed.
